Flying in NY
Today we had off! The circus booked a mall in Bay Shore, Long Island, for 7 days, then could only get a performance permit for 6, so we have a totally unprecedented (the veterans say) day off. Apparantly the circus loses 40-45,000$ by being dark today.

I'd had plans to go to manhattan to see an off-broadway show with my clown pal Elmo, but realized that going to a silk class taught by my friends appealed to me more! yay.

I thought I'd have to take the train, but a serendipidous ride manifested; one of the advance booking guys (who says he has a softspot for redheads) delayed driving to PA for an hour, until I finished my office shift. Thank you, thank you.

Class was FUN! slightly intense at moments (and I hadn't eaten much, it's so hot and I was running around), but I breathed thru it and found internal grounding, took the internal arnica I'd serendipidously just bought for the bruises on my my shins, refocused, and learned a new trick! There's another trick I saw that I hope to figure out for myself next time I'm on silk. it was so much fun!

Also balanced people acro-yoga style, was balance, and stretched splits... they are so much better!

I felt so confident... instead of feeling like the shy outsider I have so often percieved myself to be, I was the friend-on-tour who was guested into a class that was part of a series, and held my own with relative ease, and much joy, and camraderie with the other students. Grateful.

I'm reading but I'm sure the Kenya guys have told you. I have loved knowing what is going on with the circus for two reasons: 1) because Alicia wants to find out what is happening with her lying husband and 2) I would love to live that life. I love to travel and if I had not had kids so early I think I would have done what you are doing. I was a flower child when I was younger and then I allowed others to still my joy. I died inside and your youth and insight have helped to bring me back to center. I hope that you are willing to continue allowing me to read. I hope that you will not tell the guys that I wrote because they will say that I am crazy and tell you not to write. They love to keep their girls from contacting each other so that they can continue using them. Oh, just be careful. They are all married even Michael. Michael's wife is pregnant. Mwalimu says they are divorced. They use girls to get permanent residency or money or whatever and then they move on. They may stay if you don't mind infidelity. If you can live with it and say nothing. Mwalimu has hung up on Alicia when she talks about you girls and about the cheating. Call me 704-996-9864 I'd love to talk. Maybe Matahara could give Alicia some insight in to how to deal with her situation. Woman need to stick together. To remain silent allows them to spread the injustice.

I wish you well with the silks. I love that art form. I saw a great act in the Universoul Circus with silks. It was gorgeous. Ringling Bros. had one too. I don't think they did one when we visited.

We hated to hear about the Kims. Alicia and I thought they were so cute. Who took their place? No one has said.

So many comments that I never made because I didn't know if you would want to hear from me. Let me know. We would come to visit again but Amos told Alicia to just give Mwalimu a divorce and leave him alone and not to come back again. That was the night that you rode with them and you saw Alicia crying so hard. She was so upset all the way home. I was driving so I couldn't comfort her. I'm not sure there is any comfort when your heart is ripped out and stomped on. It's not your fault. They are easy to believe and love. Everyone loves them. There is always alot of competition. We've know them for over 5 years now. Gosh, I wish I could go back and skip the Kenya part but we love Isaiah( Alicia and Mwalimu's son). He is the light of our life and I would never erase that for a million dollars and Alicia's college degree etc. We will raise him to respect women. Actually I tease Mwalimu that Isaiah will be gay. He really hates gay people unless that was an act too. Never can tell with him. It would be so ironic for Isaiah to be gay. He is so sweet. Mwalimu is missing so much but I guess this is just not the life he wants and he doesn't seem to want Alicia to be with him. Sorry...I just had a silent meditation moment. Thinking of this sweet child having a father like Mwalimu who would rather be with his friends and traveling than with his son. Nine months a year away. Isaiah has grown so much since he left. He has changes alot just since our visit there in Winchester. Too much info for a log. Please call. Don't tell the guys and we will keep it a secret too unless you say it's ok to mention that we are talking. I don't won't to cause trouble. We are trying to keep an open mind about all of this. Gotta be cool for the baby and work for what's best for him.

So I'm online for the first time since that post! We have a day off due to weather; it's so muddy they couldn't get the tent up today. 3 shows tomorrow. Nice talking to you last night.

Hi,I haven't been online in awhile myself. We went to Florida. My oldest daughter has friends that work there. He got us tickets to Disney. We visited with Mwalimu's bother and cousin and Alicia finally got to go inside Bob Marleys at City Walk to have a drink. Mwalimu couldn't seem to find the time to call her while he was having a good time but when he found out that she was in Florida he seemed to have nothing but time. He even had the nerve to say something about her not talking to him because she was having so much fun. He called constantly. He thought that she was lying when she said she was sleepy and wanted to hang up. You see he use this same excuse on her. He quizzed her about Bob Marleys. Who was she with etc. She told him when he tells her the details of his life then she will tell him hers. Yea old double standard is alive and well with him. Well she is going on with her life. She got another job for extra money. She is filing for financial aid at college. Things are looking better for her.

We still aren't sure what Mwalimu's plans are. She can't wait for him to decide to be a husband and father. She can't afford a divorce so I guess they will be married awhile longer unless he unfurls that tight fist of his and lets go of some money to file. At that time the issue of child support will definitely be discussed and remedied. Maybe he'll just do like his father and have 4 wives with no divorces. Gosh has he made life complicated with all of his games. Oh well, no one ever promised a life problem free. One day at a time trying to stay one step ahead of the Kenya boys and their antics.

Have fun. Be careful. Keep in touch.
